Description
-The Triumph NTB-800 is a computer wheel balancer built to move a tire bay faster without giving up accuracy. Every computer balancer needs three measurements before a spin — rim diameter, rim width, and the wheel's distance from the machine. The NTB-800 automates two of them: enter the rim width, then touch the gauge arm to the mounted wheel and it captures rim diameter and offset distance on its own. Triumph estimates this automatic data entry trims about 25% from per-wheel setup time and removes the most common source of operator input error. The closely related NTB-550 enters all three measurements by hand.
Each spin runs a 6–9 second cycle and resolves imbalance to ±1 gram, with weight amount and position shown on a dual inner/outer LED display that reads in grams or ounces. A foot-pedal wheel brake locks the shaft while you press on stick-on or clip weights, so the wheel doesn't creep out of position during weight placement.
Features
-- Automatic data entry — enter the rim width only; the gauge arm captures rim diameter and offset distance on contact, cutting setup time and input error.
- Foot-pedal wheel brake — locks the shaft so the wheel holds position while weights are applied.
- Multiple balancing modes — Dynamic, Static, ALU 1–3, ALUS, OPT, split/hidden-weight (HID), and a dedicated Motorcycle mode, selectable from the control panel.
- ±1-gram accuracy, 6–9 second cycle — resolves small imbalances on a quick spin.
- Grams-or-ounces display with an adjustable least-weight threshold so small residual imbalances read as zero.
Compatibility
-The NTB-800 balances wheels from 10 to 28 inches with rim widths of 1.5 to 20 inches and tires up to 44 inches in diameter, at a maximum wheel weight of 150 pounds. Triumph's fitment guide rates it for passenger cars and 1/2-, 3/4-, and 1-ton trucks, standard 14–24-inch and 16.5-inch automotive wheels, and run-flat and load-range C/D/E tires. A motorcycle mode is built in; balancing motorcycle wheels also requires an optional motorcycle wheel adapter, sold separately. It is not rated for box-truck, over-the-road (semi) truck, 19.5-inch, 21.5-inch, or implement/agricultural wheels — those need a larger-capacity machine such as the Triumph NTB-1200 truck wheel balancer.
Pair it with a Triumph NTC-950, NTC-950-1, or NTC-950-2 tire changer to complete a tire bay; each is also offered as a combo with the NTB-800.

Warranty
-The NTB-800 carries Triumph's 1-year parts warranty (parts only, no labor). If a covered part fails, Triumph troubleshoots by phone and ships the replacement part at no charge by ground service; installation labor is not covered. Wear and consumable items are excluded: the quick-release wing nut, wheel hood cover, top tray cover, and wheel-weight hammer.
FAQ
-What power does the NTB-800 require?
It runs on a standard 110V wall outlet with a 1/4-horsepower motor and ships with a North American plug installed. The machine has no built-in surge protection, so Triumph recommends plugging it into a surge protector. Do not hard-wire it to the electrical source.
Can it balance motorcycle and run-flat wheels?
Yes. The NTB-800 has a dedicated motorcycle mode; balancing motorcycle wheels also requires an optional motorcycle wheel adapter, sold separately. Run-flat and load-range C/D/E tires are supported per Triumph's fitment guide above.
Does it need to be bolted to the floor?
Set it on a flat, stable floor. If the machine shakes or shifts while spinning a wheel, the manual calls for bolting it to the ground for accurate results.
How is the NTB-800 delivered?
It ships by LTL freight on a common carrier with lift-gate service — the driver lowers it to the ground at the back of the truck but does not move it inside or assemble it. You schedule the delivery appointment directly with the freight carrier. To arrange freight-terminal pickup instead, contact MGS at sales@mygaragesupplies.com or 307-381-1810 before ordering.
