Description
-The Triumph NTO-9AE is a 9,000-lb overhead two-post auto lift — the economy model in Triumph's overhead two-post line, built around the same column, chain, and dual-cylinder hardware as the rest of the NTO family. It is sized for the shop or serious home garage that works on cars, light trucks, and SUVs and wants a clear floor under the vehicle, not a clutter of cross-rails and floor plates.
Because the safety cut-off bar and equalizer hardware run across the top of the columns rather than along the floor, the NTO-9AE leaves an open 99-inch drive-thru between the arms. You drive straight in, set the four pads, and work without stepping over anything. The lift raises to a 72-inch lifting height in about 50 seconds and lowers its pads to 4.5 inches off the floor, low enough to slide under low-clearance vehicles.
Lifting is driven by leaf chains running over sheaves on twin hydraulic cylinders, with equalizing cables keeping both carriages level as the lift rises. The columns carry 21 lock positions with a dual-point lock release, so the carriages set on a mechanical latch at the working height you choose and release together. A padded overhead cut-off bar with an electric safety switch stops the lift before a roof or raised hood contacts the crossbeam.
The NTO-9AE uses a versatile-symmetric arm set: triple-stage front arms that telescope from 29 to 51.5 inches and double-stage rear arms from 27 to 41.5 inches, so the long arms reach the engine-side lift points and the shorter arms set under the rear. The lift is designed to be driven on from either direction. Each of the four arms ends in a rotating disc pad, and a set of drop-in truck adapters in 1.5-inch, 3-inch, and 6-inch heights stacks onto the pads to reach the frame on trucks and SUVs.
Each arm carries an automatic restraint that locks the arm against swiveling once the pads take the load. The power unit and motor are rated for indoor use; the lift is built in an ISO 9001-certified factory and ships with the CE-marked power unit. If your work regularly runs heavier than 9,000 lb, the overhead NTO platform also steps up to the 10,000-lb NTO-10A.

Compatibility
-The NTO-9AE handles cars, light trucks, and SUVs up to its 9,000-lb rated capacity, using all four pads on the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lift points. Before ordering, confirm your shop meets these requirements:
- Ceiling height: at least 144 inches (12 feet) of clear ceiling — the lift stands 142 inches tall.
- Floor: a minimum 4-inch concrete slab rated at 3,000 PSI. The lift is anchored to the slab only; it cannot be installed on asphalt or other surfaces.
- Power: a 110-volt single-phase circuit for the power unit, wired by a qualified electrician and protected by a time-delay fuse or breaker per local code.
- Indoor installation: the lift and power unit are rated for indoor use only — outdoor or wet-location use is not covered by the warranty.

Warranty
-The NTO-9AE carries a 1-year parts warranty (no labor), with a 2-year structural warranty when the lift is installed indoors. Hydraulic and electrical parts are covered under the 1-year parts term. Cylinders carry a 30-day full warranty, after which a seal kit is supplied. Rubber lifting pads are not covered. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and requires indoor installation; outdoor or wet-location use voids coverage on the power unit and motor.
FAQ
-What electrical service does it need?
The power unit runs on a 110-volt single-phase circuit. Have a qualified electrician make the connection to local code, protected by a time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. Electrical work that is not done by a certified electrician is not covered by the warranty.
How much ceiling height do I need?
Plan for at least 144 inches — 12 feet — of clear ceiling. The lift is 142 inches tall, and the overhead cut-off bar needs room above the columns.
What kind of floor does it require?
A minimum 4-inch concrete slab rated at 3,000 PSI, fully cured. The columns are held by floor anchors only, so the lift cannot go on asphalt or an unstable surface. Anchor bolts are included.
Will it lift a truck?
Yes, within the 9,000-lb rating. The drop-in truck adapters in 1.5-, 3-, and 6-inch heights raise the contact pads to reach the frame on trucks and SUVs. Always use all four pads on the manufacturer's recommended lift points.
Is it ALI certified?
The supplier states the lift is built in an ISO 9001-certified factory and that the power unit carries the CE mark. ALI (Automotive Lift Institute) certification is not listed for this model.
How does it ship and what do I need to receive it?
The NTO-9AE ships freight on a common carrier as a roughly 1,407-lb shipment. The driver delivers curbside and does not unload it — you need a forklift, tractor, or similar equipment to take it off the truck, and lift-gate service is not available for auto lifts. You schedule the delivery appointment directly with the freight carrier. To confirm freight options for your delivery address, contact MGS at sales@mygaragesupplies.com or 307-381-1810.
