Meyer Products 76000 Jeep HomePlow 6'8" Snow Plow

Meyer has discontinued the 76000 Jeep HomePlow, and limited quantities remain. When they are gone, the Meyer Jeep WingMan 6'8" snow plow (model 78320) is the Jeep-specific Meyer plow we carry, and it also mounts with Quick-Link to a Class 3, 2-inch front receiver hitch.

Meyer's application guide also lists HomePlow front receiver mounts for the Jeep models in the table below. The 6'8" Meyer Home Plow 26000 is the HomePlow model with full hydraulic lift and angle from a wired controller.

Meyer built the Jeep® HomePlow™ 6'8" for homeowners who need to clear a long driveway without spending a lot of time doing it. Using a hydraulic lift and wired controller, it works like a conventional commercial plow, with in-cab control of every up, down, left and right blade movement. It slides into a Class 3, 2-inch front receiver hitch with Meyer's Quick-Link mount, and its integrated mounting wheels let you attach or remove the plow in less than a minute, leaving no visible hardware behind.

• Hydraulic lift and power angle. The hydraulic power unit moves the 6'8" blade up, down, left and right at the press of a button.
• Float mode. Hold the lower button for more than one second and the blade stays in contact with the ground regardless of grade. Pressing raise takes it out of Float.
• Built-in controller timers. Continuous raise is limited to 4 seconds and continuous angle to 6 seconds. Releasing the button resets the timer.
• Quick-Link mounting. The lift frame slides into a Class 3, 2-inch front receiver hitch. The receiver hitch is sold separately.
• Integrated mounting wheels. Three casters make on/off and storage easier. Raising the mounted plow turns all three wheels to the plowing position.
• Covered hydraulic unit to keep debris out.
• Standard snow deflector to keep snow away from the windshield.
• Weather-covered connectors. Meyer calls for dielectric grease on the plow and vehicle harness prongs, and weather covers go back on when the plow comes off.

Meyer's HomePlow requirements, from the 76000 owner's manual:

• Two- or four-wheel-drive SUV, pickup or utility vehicle rated ½-ton or smaller. Meyer prohibits use on larger vehicles.
• Able to accept a Category 3, 2" front receiver hitch. Meyer's HomePlow mount guide calls for a minimum Class 3, 2" × 2" receiver rated for 300 lb tongue weight and 3,000 lb pull.
• Minimum 60-amp alternator and minimum 70-amp battery with 550 cold cranking amps.
• Front suspension able to handle 250 lb of added plow and hitch weight.
• Stock ride height, with no lift kit or other suspension modification.

Once the receiver is installed, its center should sit 10" to 13" above the ground, and the hitch pin hole should be no more than 8-1/2" from the very end of the bumper.

• Power angling hydraulic unit with 1" × 6" lift cylinder, hoses and plow side harness
• Moldboard and pivot assembly with 6'8" moldboard, cutting edge, two trip springs and eye bolt kits
• Snow deflector kit
• Three plow cart casters with cart pivot and cart jack brackets
• In-cab controller, vehicle side harness and vehicle harness extension
• Two quarts of Meyer M-1 hydraulic fluid
• Plow marker kit and mounting hardware bag

Not included: the 2" front receiver hitch mount for your vehicle.

Meyer's Jeep brochure lists a 1-year warranty for the Jeep HomePlow, and Meyer's owner's manual notes the HomePlow is not eligible for Meyer's extended 5-year plow warranty. Under the HomePlow warranty effective July 1, 2022, coverage runs one year from the date of purchase for the original purchaser and excludes expendable items such as cutting edges, pins, springs, markers and paint. Coverage ends if the plow is sold or transferred. Meyer has confirmed to MGS that the HomePlow can be installed by the end user. Keep your proof of purchase. Is the Meyer 76000 Jeep HomePlow still available?

Yes, while limited quantities last. Meyer has discontinued the 76000, so once the remaining units are sold, the Meyer Jeep WingMan 6'8" (78320) is the Jeep-specific Meyer plow MGS lists, and the HomePlow line continues with the 6'8" and 7'6" Power Angling models.

Which Jeeps does the HomePlow fit?

Meyer's current Jeep mount list covers the 1997–2006 Wrangler TJ, 2007–2018 Wrangler JK, 2018–2026 Wrangler JL (not Rubicon 392) and 2020–2026 Gladiator (not Mojave or Rubicon), and its application guide adds the Cherokee, Comanche, Commander, Grand Cherokee, Liberty and Wagoneer years shown in the table above.

Will it fit a lifted Jeep?

No. Meyer's requirements call for a stock vehicle with no lift kit or other suspension modification that changes ride height.

Is the front receiver hitch included?

No. The 2" front receiver hitch is sold separately. Meyer's guide lists the mount number for each vehicle in the table above.

How does the controller work?

Hold the on/off switch for one second to turn it on. The up arrow raises the blade, the left and right arrows angle it, and the down arrow lowers it. Holding down for more than one second puts the plow in Float. Turn the controller off whenever the plow is not in use.

How fast can I drive with the plow mounted?

Meyer's HomePlow safety rules set a maximum of 10 mph while transporting the plow and 5 mph while plowing snow.
