Description
-The Stratus SAE-414 is a 14,000-lb capacity four-post lift built for servicing larger vehicles. It pairs a pneumatic safety lock release with a 4 HP power unit that runs on 220V single-phase power. Stratus has discontinued this model, and only a limited number of units remain.
The runways rise from 7 1/2" to a maximum lifting height of 73 7/16" in about 50 seconds. Each runway is 20" wide and 227 3/16" long, with 42 1/2" to 46 7/16" between the runways for a drive-through width of 82 1/2" to 86 7/16". Plan floor space for a footprint 144 9/16" wide and 237 3/8" long without the ramps (277 3/16" with them), with posts standing 91 1/2" tall.
The safety locks release pneumatically, so the lift needs a compressed-air supply as well as 220V power. A dual safety device design automatically engages a second safety device while the primary safety locks are out of operation, and a max lifting height limiter switch keeps the cylinders working within their stroke. The lift is proofed by a dynamic test at 115% of rated capacity and a static test at 150%.
Two ramps come standard. The 7,000-lb Stratus BJ7 rolling bridge jack and aluminum ramps are optional accessories and are not included; the main product photo shows a rolling bridge jack between the runways for reference only. The finish is a two-tone powder coat in Granite Gray (RAL 7026) and Rein Orange (RAL 2004).
Delivery is included to a commercial address or truck terminal in the lower 48 states. Residential or limited-access delivery adds $150 (choose it under Delivery Location), and orders shipping to OR, WA, ID, MT, ND, SD or ME carry a $425 freight surcharge at checkout. The lift travels as one crate measuring 238" x 22" x 34" and weighing 3,097 lbs, so plan on a forklift to unload it. This is a discontinued model with limited units, so contact sales@mygaragesupplies.com or call 307-381-1810 to confirm availability before you order.

Warranty
-Stratus covers the SAE-414 under its 5-3-2 warranty for four-post lifts:
- 5 years, structure: posts, safety lock system, top caps, runways, ramps, crossbeams and platform
- 3 years, hydraulic: cylinder, seal kits and gear pump
- 2 years, electrical: motor, AC contactor, solenoid, limiter switches, power light, buttons and capacitors
- 1 year, functional components: cables, safety covers, hydraulic hoses, fittings, pulleys, locking link, oil reservoir and oil/water regulator
All other items carry no warranty. Coverage applies to the original purchaser of the lift. Stratus repairs or replaces defective parts at its option and may require a part to be returned to the factory, freight prepaid, for inspection. On-site labor, cosmetic blemishes that do not affect safety or function, and normal maintenance and wear parts such as shims are not covered, nor are defects caused by outside use, ordinary wear, abuse or misuse, overloading, improper installation, shipping damage, an improper concrete floor, lack of required maintenance or acts of God.
FAQ
-What power and air supply does the SAE-414 need?
The 4 HP motor runs on 220V single-phase, 60 Hz power on a 30A breaker. Because the safety locks release pneumatically, the lift also needs a compressed-air line. The power unit takes AW32 or AW46 hydraulic oil.
Is a rolling bridge jack included?
No. The lift comes with two ramps. The 7,000-lb Stratus BJ7 rolling bridge jack and aluminum ramps are optional accessories sold separately; the jack in the main photo is shown for reference.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The posts stand 91 1/2" tall, and the runways reach 73 7/16" at full rise. Your ceiling needs to clear the posts and the roof of your tallest vehicle with the runways at 73 7/16".
Does the warranty still apply to a discontinued model?
Yes. Stratus lists the SAE-414 with its 5-3-2 warranty: 5 years on structure, 3 years on hydraulics and 2 years on electrical parts, as detailed above.
