Description
-The Triumph NTC-950-2 Tire Changer and NTB-800 Wheel Balancer combo puts a complete tire bay in a single purchase: a tire changer built for steady shop volume and a computer wheel balancer with automatic data entry. Between them they cover mounting, demounting, and balancing for passenger cars and 1/2- to 1-ton trucks running standard, wide-profile, low-profile, and run-flat tires.
The NTC-950-2 tire changer uses dual pneumatic assist arms to support and press difficult tires while you work, so low-profile and run-flat sidewalls seat without fighting the bead. A side-mounted bead breaker applies 5,500 lbs of bead-breaking force, and the machine's bead blast system fires a burst of air into the sidewall to break stubborn beads and seat them when mounting. Inside clamping runs 16 to 28 inches, outside clamping 14 to 26 inches, with a 15-inch maximum wheel width and a 43-inch maximum tire diameter. A 1.5 HP motor turns the table on a standard 110V shop circuit.
The NTB-800 wheel balancer reads to +/- 1 gram and turns a balance cycle in 6 to 9 seconds. Its automatic data entry takes one input from you and sets the other two parameters on its own, cutting keystrokes on every wheel. A foot-pedal wheel brake holds the assembly still while you tap on weights, and the balancer handles wheels from 10 to 28 inches with rim widths of 1.5 to 20 inches, up to 150 lbs. Like the changer, it runs on 110V.

Compatibility
-Triumph publishes a fitment chart for its tire equipment. The NTC-950-2 changer and NTB-800 balancer both cover passenger cars and 1/2-, 3/4-, and 1-ton trucks, Load Range C, D, and E tires, 14- to 24-inch and 16.5-inch wheels, and run-flats. Neither machine is rated for box trucks, over-the-road trucks, or 19.5- and 21.5-inch wheels. Motorcycle wheels require an additional adapter, and on the balancer the heavier truck and run-flat tires are held to a 75 lb total-weight limit.

Warranty
-Triumph tire equipment carries a 1-year parts warranty, parts only, no labor. If something fails, a phone call walks you through troubleshooting and the needed part ships to you free of charge by ground service. Installing the replacement part is the owner's responsibility and is not covered.
Wear and consumable items are not covered. On the tire changer this includes all plastic protective pads and tooling on the clamps, heads, bead breakers, and assist arms, plus the single tire-inflation hose, lube brush, and bucket. On the wheel balancer it includes the quick-release wing nut, wheel hood cover, top tray cover, and wheel weight hammer.
FAQ
-Can it change low-profile and run-flat tires?
Yes. The NTC-950-2's dual pneumatic assist arms support the sidewall through the mount and demount, which is what makes low-profile and run-flat tires manageable. Triumph's fitment chart rates the changer for run-flat wheels.
What power supply does the combo need?
Both machines run on 110V. The tire changer also needs shop air, up to a 120 PSI maximum input, to drive the bead blast and pneumatic assist functions.
How does automatic data entry work on the balancer?
Instead of keying in all three balancing parameters, you enter one and the NTB-800 sets the other two on its own, which cuts time and input error on every wheel.
How is the combo delivered?
It ships on an LTL common-carrier freight truck with lift-gate service, so the driver lowers the equipment to the ground at the rear of the truck. The driver does not move the equipment inside or assemble it. You arrange the delivery appointment directly with the freight carrier, or you can have the shipment held at the carrier's nearest terminal for pickup.
