Description
-The Triumph NTC-950-2 Tire Changer and NTB-550 Wheel Balancer Combo pairs a dual-arm tire changer with a computer wheel balancer so one bay can mount, demount, and balance passenger and light-truck wheels start to finish. Both machines run on a standard 110V outlet, so the combo drops into most shops without new electrical service.
The NTC-950-2 tire changer carries dual pneumatic assist arms that hold the bead and support the tire through the mount and demount cycle, which takes the wrestling out of wide-profile, low-profile, and run-flat tires. A side-mounted bead breaker applies 5,500 lbs of force to separate stubborn beads, and the built-in bead blast system fires a burst of air into the sidewall to help break and seat beads.
The NTB-550 wheel balancer reads imbalance to ±1 gram and finishes a spin cycle in 6–9 seconds. A wheel brake operated at the base holds the wheel still while you place weights, keeping each correction accurate. The display switches between standard and metric units, and the balancer uses manual data entry.
This combo ships as freight on an LTL common carrier with lift gate service, so the driver lowers each machine to the ground at the rear of the truck. The driver does not move equipment into your shop or assemble it. If you would rather collect the order, it can be routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal. You schedule the delivery appointment directly with the freight company.
Features
-- Dual pneumatic assist arms support the tire and bead through mount and demount, making wide-profile, low-profile, and run-flat tires easier to handle.
- Bead blast system shoots a strong burst of air into the sidewall to help break and seat beads.
- Side-mounted bead breaker delivers 5,500 lbs of force to separate beads from the rim.
- Wide clamping range — the turntable clamps 16"–28" inside and 14"–26" outside, handling wheel widths up to 15" and tire diameters up to 43".
- 1.5 HP motor and a 120 PSI air supply drive the changer through high-volume work.
- ±1 gram balancing on the NTB-550 with a 6–9 second cycle time and a wheel brake that holds the assembly steady during weight placement.

Compatibility
-The Triumph fitment guide below shows which wheels each machine in the tire-equipment range can service. For this combo, read the NTC-950-2 column for the tire changer and the NTB-550 column for the balancer.
Per that guide, the NTC-950-2 services passenger cars and 1/2-, 3/4-, and 1-ton truck wheels, Load Range C, D, and E tires, wheels from 14" to 24" plus 16.5", and run-flat tires; motorcycle wheels require an additional adapter. It does not service box-truck, over-the-road-truck, 19.5", 21.5", or implement wheels. The NTB-550 balances the same passenger and light-truck range and handles run-flats, with a 75 lb total-weight limit on Load Range C–E and larger wheels; motorcycle wheels require an adapter.

Warranty
-Triumph tire equipment carries a 1-year parts warranty (parts only, no labor). If a part fails, you call in, troubleshoot the issue over the phone, and the replacement part ships to you free of charge by ground service. Labor to install the part is not covered.
The warranty does not cover wear items. On the tire changer, that means the plastic protective pads and tooling on the clamps, heads, bead breaker, and assist arms, the single tire inflation hose, and the lube brush and bucket. On the wheel balancer, it excludes the quick-release wing nut, wheel hood cover, top tray cover, and wheel weight hammer.
FAQ
-What power does the combo need?
Both machines run on standard 110V power, so no special electrical service is required in most shops.
Can the changer handle run-flat and low-profile tires?
Yes. The dual pneumatic assist arms and bead blast system are built to manage run-flat, low-profile, and wide-profile tires, and run-flat wheels are listed as compatible with the NTC-950-2 in the Triumph fitment guide.
What wheels fit the changer and balancer?
The NTC-950-2 clamps wheels from 16" to 28" inside and 14" to 26" outside, up to a 15" width and a 43" tire diameter. The NTB-550 balances wheels from 10" to 28" with rim widths of 1.5" to 20" and tire diameters up to 44".
Does the balancer enter wheel data automatically?
No. The NTB-550 uses manual data entry, so you enter the wheel parameters before each spin.
How does the combo ship?
It ships as freight on an LTL carrier with lift gate service. The driver lowers the machines to the ground at the back of the truck but does not bring them inside or assemble them. Freight-terminal pickup is available if you prefer to collect the order yourself.
