Katool KT-4H850 8,500 lb 4-Post Car Lift with Caster Kit

The Katool KT-4H850 is an 8,500 lb capacity four-post lift for parking one vehicle over another and for drive-on service work on cars, SUVs and light-duty trucks. It is CE Approved and Certified, built to the 115% dynamic loading standard and tested at 150% static load. A caster kit, drip trays and a jack tray come with the lift.

The locking system is layered. Four mechanical locking devices, each with primary and secondary safety locks, engage adjustable safety lock ladders in the columns at 12 lock positions spaced 4.7" apart. The secondary lock system acts as a slack-cable device, engaging in the unlikely event of cable failure. Four steel cables tie the two crossbeams together so both ends rise and lower in step, and a single-point manual safety release frees the locks from one handle, so there is no walking column to column to lower the lift.

The runways are non-skid diamond plate, and the structure is built from Q235 and Q245 steel. The power-side column can be installed at either side, front or rear, so the power unit goes on whichever corner suits your bay.

Power comes from a 2.2 kW (3 HP) hydraulic power unit that runs on 110V/60Hz single-phase as standard, with a 220V/60Hz single-phase configuration available as an option. Katool's manual specifies a 30-amp requirement and a dedicated power line installed by a certified electrician, so check your panel before the lift arrives. Lifting takes about 75 seconds; lowering about 40.

The included caster kit lets you move the lift around the shop, and the drip trays sit between the runways under the vehicle on top.

For wheels-free work, Katool pairs this lift with two rolling jacks, sold separately: the Katool KT-RJ50 5,000 lb rolling jack and the KT-RJ70 7,000 lb rolling jack.

Concrete requirement: Katool's specifications list a minimum of 3.93" (100 mm) of 3,000 PSI concrete, but the installation section of Katool's 2025 manual is stricter: a level slab at least 5.9" (150 mm) thick, 3,000 PSI or more, reinforced with steel bar and aged at least 7 days, without cracks or seams. Plan for the stricter installation requirement. Failure to install on proper concrete could result in serious injury or death, and verifying concrete thickness and strength before purchase and installation is the customer's responsibility.

Will it run on a regular garage outlet?

It runs on 110V/60Hz single-phase power, but Katool's manual lists a 30-amp requirement and a dedicated line installed by a certified electrician, so plan for a dedicated circuit rather than a shared outlet. A 220V single-phase configuration is optional.

How much ceiling height do I need to park a car on top?

The posts stand 83.66" tall and the runways rise to a maximum of 70.87". For storage, add the height of the vehicle going on top to 70.87", then leave headroom above it.

Will my vehicle fit?

The lift is rated for vehicles up to 8,500 lb. Compare your vehicle against the 94.72" clear width between columns and the 37.4" gap between the runways.

Does it come with a rolling jack?

No. Rolling jacks are sold separately; Katool offers the KT-RJ50 (5,000 lb) and KT-RJ70 (7,000 lb) for this lift.

What concrete do I need?
