Description
-The Atlas SBC1200 takes the 46" W x 51" D x 33 1/2" H work area a working shop actually needs and puts it behind two full-size doors instead of one. Front and rear top-open loading doors mean two people can work the cabinet at once, or one person can load from whichever side is closer to the part — a floor-space-saving double workstation design that roughly doubles the capacity of Atlas's smaller SBC990 cabinet on the same footprint.
Each of the two stations gets its own 24" gauntlet gloves, viewing window, and heavy-duty blasting gun, so both sides of the cabinet run independently. An air regulator with pressure gauge and a dedicated switch panel sit within reach of the work area, and the panel carries a separate vacuum power switch from the built-in fluorescent lighting — the cabinet lights its own interior rather than relying on shop lighting through the viewing window.
A side-mounted vacuum system keeps the work area clear while you blast. As glass bead media contacts the surface, a portion of it breaks down and goes airborne along with the rust it's removing; the vacuum pulls both out of the cabinet through a replaceable cartridge filter, and a bottom gate clean-out lets you empty the collected dust and spent media without opening either door.
Both blasting guns are foot-pedal activated, so you control abrasive flow with your foot and keep both hands on the part instead of holding a trigger. The ceramic nozzles sit recessed inside the gun body rather than exposed at the tip, which means fewer accidental knocks and breaks over the life of the cabinet — Atlas ships two nozzle sizes with the cabinet so you can match spray pattern to the job.
