Description
-The Atlas PX16A is a 16,000 lb capacity scissor alignment lift for shops that need full alignment capability without giving a bay to columns. Because it is a scissor design, there are no posts at the corners — doors open fully, long vehicles overhang freely, and the lift handles 4-wheel alignments on wheelbases from 96" to 184", from passenger cars to heavy long-wheelbase trucks and vans. This combo pairs the lift with two Atlas RJ8000 rolling bridge jacks, so wheels-free work is covered on day one.
The alignment provisions come standard: two alignment turntables included (with two front turntable positions machined into the runways) and integrated extra-long rear slip plates measuring 82-3/8" x 23-3/8". An optional extension kit adds a third turntable position and 22-3/8" of runway length for stretched wheelbases.
Operation is electric over air: dual synchronous hydraulic cylinders keep both runways level under load, and 18 mechanical air-actuated locking positions secure the lift at working height — reached in an 82-second rise to a maximum of 73-5/8". At full height there is 63-3/4" of clearance under the runways, enough to walk under with a transmission jack, and a pull-out step gives access to the runway surface. Skid-proof diamond-plate runways and removable wheel stops handle daily traffic.
The two included RJ8000 air/hydraulic rolling jacks (8,000 lbs each) ride the runway rails on steel rollers. Each jack lifts 30" on its scissor with screw-up adapter pads plus 3" and 6" stackable adapters, locks at two positions, and runs on 70–115 PSI shop air. The lift's factory-installed airline routing system feeds air to the jacks from under the lift — add the optional airline kit and there are no air hoses cluttering the floor.
Prefer the lift without the jacks? The PX16A is available on its own — but priced against buying the pieces separately, the combo is how most alignment bays leave the warehouse. Completing an alignment bay? Browse our wheel alignment machines.

FAQ
-Does it need compressed air?
Yes — the locking system is air-actuated and the rolling jacks run on air over hydraulic. Plan on shop air in the 85–120 PSI range (jacks capped at 115 PSI).
What electrical service does it need?
220V single-phase with a minimum 3 kW supply — a dedicated 30-amp circuit is the standard setup. Line it up before delivery day.
What are the concrete requirements?
Minimum 4" thick, 3,000 PSI, fully cured, level and crack-free — and the Atlas manual specifically requires concrete without reinforcing steel bars in the anchor area. This is unusual, so check your slab drawings before ordering.
What vehicles can it align?
Wheelbases from 96" to 184" — compact cars through long-wheelbase trucks and vans, up to 16,000 lbs.
What's optional versus included?
Included: two turntables, slip plates, and both RJ8000 jacks. Optional: the airline kit (feeds shop air to the jacks through the lift's built-in routing) and the front extension kit (third turntable position, 22-3/8" more runway).
