Standard vacuum-only blast cabinets bog down on heavy rust, mill scale, and thick coatings — the media just doesn't hit hard enough to keep pace. The Atlas PSBC990 solves that with a direct-pressure system that pneumatically forces blast media through the air hose at a higher-velocity stream, cutting blast time on stubborn jobs by up to 4 times versus a vacuum-only cabinet. The same pressurized tank has an adjustable pressure valve, so the same cabinet steps down for more delicate parts instead of requiring a second machine.

A powerful vacuum system attached to the cabinet pulls the "floating" rust particles and spent glass bead out of the air as they're kicked up mid-blast, keeping the 46" W x 34" D x 33 1/2" H work area visible through the front window instead of clouding over. The large front folding door and a standing bench built into the base frame make it easier to load and position bigger parts without leaning over the cabinet edge.

Running the PSBC990 requires an external air supply — 24 CFM at 125 PSI minimum — and a standard 110V outlet; neither the compressor nor the blast media (glass bead) ships with the cabinet.
