The Atlas Air Force AF2 is a portable, belt-driven single-stage air compressor built for home garages, mobile mechanics, and small shops that need a moveable air source rather than a fixed wall-plumbed system. A 1.8 HP running motor (2 HP peak) runs on standard 110-volt single-phase household power and feeds a 20-gallon ASME-rated vertical tank, so the compressor lives in the corner of the shop, rolls to the bay on its oversized wheels, and plugs into an ordinary 110V outlet without an electrical service upgrade.

Delivered output is 7.8 CFM at 40 PSI and 6.0 CFM at 90 PSI, with operating pressure cycling between 90 and 125 PSI. That CFM band covers inflators, brad and finish nailers, air staplers, blow guns, smaller impact wrenches, and HVLP touch-up sprayers. The vertical tank orientation keeps the footprint to 25" L x 18" W x 45" H, which fits against a wall when the compressor is parked.

The pump is a two-cylinder, single-stage design driven by a belt — not direct-drive — for quieter operation and longer pump life under shop-duty cycles. The pump and motor pulley are enclosed by a heavy-duty metal belt guard, and the air outlet is fitted with a 1/4" M-style quick coupler so air tools connect without an adapter. What air tools can the AF2 power?

At 6.0 CFM at 90 PSI and 7.8 CFM at 40 PSI, the AF2 is sized for inflators, brad and finish nailers, air staplers, blow guns, smaller impact wrenches, and HVLP touch-up sprayers. Continuous-duty tools that pull higher CFM — sanders, die grinders, framing nailers in long runs — will outrun the AF2’s recovery rate and stall on pressure.

Does the AF2 need a 220V circuit?

No. The AF2 runs on standard 110-volt single-phase power and plugs into a typical household outlet. Confirm the circuit can handle motor startup amperage before first use, and dedicate the circuit when possible to avoid breaker trips from shared loads.

Is the tank ASME certified?

Yes. The 20-gallon vertical tank carries an ASME rating.
